Title: WHAT PISSES ME OFF

Blog Entry: It comes that time of the year again when my employer "The Big Fella" decides how much each employee will receive in their annual salary increase. Well, 4 years ago, the bastards capped my salary (no pay raise) along with another 3 hard working controllers and out of that action, we ended up in the Industrial Court for nearly on 12 months and we, the hard working ones, ended up winning the case and were awarded a very large sum of money along with out other work colleagues, so then everyone was happy except of course "The Big Fella" and since that day, he has been sulking in the corner planning and scheming how he could avenge his losses and embarrassment. Well, that day, according to "The Big Fella" came along last week, when he decided this was to be the "Year of the Fat Controller" aka payback time. My Superintendent with all the grace of a fuckin' Silver Back Gorilla walks into my Control Room and hands me an envelope, shaking my hand at the same time, which immediately after, I had to wash off the slimy shit and he proceeds to tell me , that he doesn't think that I would be very happy with the letter inside the envelope. I promptly open the envelope and read the letter, which states that this year, "The Big Fella" has decided that my salary will once again be capped until at least this time 2010, so they don't even think that I am entitled to at least the CPI increase in my fortnightly salary, which means that the salary I received in 2008 will have to do me for another 12 months until September 2010 and truth be known, the bastards will come along with the same old story again then and I will have to survive on the 2008 salary until 2011 and possibly longer. Now, prior to September this year and the annual salary increases, "The Big Fella" sent out an email to all employees telling them that some of us will not receive a pay increase due to having to tighten our belts a notch or two. Well that's all well and good if that ruling applied to everyone, BUT, wait for it our precious CEO who resides in Melbourne with the luxury of having a company house, car and phone and power bills paid for, is granted a 51% pay increase this year, taking his salary to $12 million. Now doesn't that send the right message out to the troops and now they wonder why, the plebs on the shop floor are starting to shuffle their feet and talking about industrial action and rightly so I say. Already, action is being planned by us hard workers in the Pilbara to take "The Big Fella" on again and how could the courts argue against us, when we produce the winning arguments from a few years ago. Is "The Big Fella" so fucken stupid that they want their production in the Pilbara to come to a screeching halt over a few dollars for the workers???"The Big Fella" earns $3 million on each train which arrives to the port in Banjo Country and we run 13 of them each day, 7 days a week, 365 days a years (366 in a leap year) so work that out for yourself and ask if they are being greedy buggers? To top it off, my slimy Superintendent today threatened me with the sack if I did not roll my sleeves down and button them up.....fuck me, I thought I left regimental crap behind 36 years ago. Before you know it, the bastards will be having morning parades in the carpark for full inspection and singing the company song. This is what pisses me off!!!!!!!!!
