Blog Entry: The advent of a new iteration of Diggerz always comes with a certain amount of excitement. New furniture, new bits added in, and a thousand new posts from people that are more about the housing conditions than the events of the day. For the Walrus, it must be a time when vexation is mingled with excitement, as he struggles to move mountains of molehills created by us as we blithe fully take advantage of his invitation to share his home. But I do believe that this time he has actually constructed a new house, designed specifically for long term living and with all mod cons. Situated in a spacious part of the server, this domicile seems to be the best thing Diggers has ever been a part of. The brains trust that created the platinum membership certainly put our small remuneration to good work and whilst not all tradesmen have left and there are still minor tasks being performed, the premises to lock-up stage are truly remarkable I noticed with pride that long term and core members (perhaps I should change that to CORPS members - Royal Australian Corps of Diggerz!) - of the site did not procrastinate long at all about pitching in. In a world of User Pays, we have long enjoyed the site at the expense of Walrus, and only of late have we been asked to contribute. I don't know about you blokes and blokettes but $100 wouldn't last five minutes in a dollar Pokie machine. This is one small step for Diggerz members and one giant leap for site forums. I'd like to think that Walrus is always one step ahead of the competition and that one day in the future, all websites will look like this. But we'll have been first! On a day when my diabetes has the upper hand, this site has painted a definite smile on my face. 7.62 Solutions
