Thanks Bluey, I fancy myself a bit of a photographer at times ;-)

When I was a kid, I was going to be a Fighter Pilot then an Astronaut. Dropping out of school put paid to that, but would still give my left one to be flying one of these beauties.

That said, I loved being a digger!

When you get around to coming over this way, I live 106Km from the Airfield so let me know and you can stay over or I'll meet you down there.

That offer goes for anyone.

Great photo, AJ.

Temora's Warbird Weekend is definitely on my list of things do before I drop off the twig.

Back in the day over Singleton range,  the RAAF used a hired Mustang to tow a long orange cone target for Mirage fighters from Williamtown to practice air to air cannon fire.

Down on the ground all the diggers who were supposed to practising contact drills etc would be standing around gawking at all the action in the sky.

Everyone used to sling off at the RAAFies, but most would have given their left one to be in the seat cutting loose with multiple 30mm cannons.

In this photo you can see 3 Fighters of WWII, at least one of which was represented in Korea and a Viet Nam Veteran Cessna A37B Dragonfly which is the low sitting bird all cammed up between the 2 Merlins. This bird flew with the South Vietnamese Forces and the North Vietnamese forces after it's pilot defected.

All these museum pieces flew over the 2 day weekend and on both days. Impressive museum pieces!
