A bit more on the old girl H.


She is possibly from a batch of 500 25Pdr's that were exmined in 1962-3 at 3 Base Wksp. Those in the worse condition were sold off to various RSL's for 5 quid. The cost was to cover the rendering innocuous so that they could then be displayed in public.


Scratching at the grey matter I believe the "inspection-team" was made up of WO2 'Snow' Sneddon, Sgt Dave Hodgins, Cpl's John Reimers, Dick Garcia, Kenny Lark, Bob Coker, Cfn's Ian McGrath, Norm Kollias, Jan Klein and Ralph Marion.


Those were the the days when Crafties were Crafties.

Probably, because no one is going to fire it.......I hope - it is aimed directly at the Pier Hotel where all the Raunchies get their gear off for the boys around town
